Some Hot Pirate Action

December 3, 2009

Avast! I’ve been having fun creating some illustrations of hot, sexy fantasy men. After watching the Pirates of the Caribbean movies one day, I felt like drawing a sexy pirate. I came up with the basic body on my own and referenced some of my Jack Sparrow & Will Turner action figures to come up with his outfit. I guess he forgot his shirt back on his ship. (The guys I draw tend to do that a lot! lol)

I also have a gallery up on deviantART if you wanna browse some of my other projects. I uploaded this image there and my bf Russ has some photography stuff there as well.

Drink up me hearties, yo ho!

Round One… Fight!!!

November 6, 2009

I finally just bought Street Fighter 4 for the PS3 last night. It’s pretty cool! So far I’ve had a lot of fun with it.

I’ve been a big fan of the Street Fighter franchise since part 2 came out back in 1991. I worked at an arcade at the time of it’s debut and it was all anybody played.

Playing the latest game inspired me to dig up an old character design I’d created back in 2004. Since it was in black and white, I decided to colorize in Photoshop it today.

The dude’s name is Dash and he’s, you guessed it, a gay Street Fighter! Yay! He’s sort of a combination of Ken, Vega and Adon, my three faves.

Dash-Fighter

DASH – The Flaming Fist of Fury
“I never met a man I couldn’t lick.”
Nationality: American
Age: 23
Height: 6’0 ” Weight: 160 lbs
Hair Color: Sandy Blonde
Eye Color: Baby Blue
Blood Type: B Positive
Occupation: Police Detective
Likes: Guys with gorgeous eyes. Pizza (Hand-tossed.) The beach.
Dislikes: Name calling. People who are not true to themselves.
Fighting Style: Muay Thai Kickboxing
Special Techniques: Flaming Dash Uppercut, Flaming Feet Kick

• Very quick and agile fighter. Uses flirtation to confuse and fluster both male and female opponents, then moves in for the final blow.

• Weaknesses: Attraction to good-looking men causes distraction; Flirtation ineffectual against non-human opponents (i.e. monsters, cyborgs, aliens, etc.)

• Works as a police detective by day and fights in the local kickboxing league by night.

That’s all the stuff I came up with for him… Now if only I could get Capcom to include him in an upcoming game! lol

Sketches of Zack

November 4, 2009

I thought I’d share some sketches I did for that last page we posted of Blue Comet and Fusion called “Home Sweet Home”. I drew a full body image of Zack in my sketch book with the intention of using the whole thing on the page. But because there was a lot of dialogue, we had to crop much of Mr. Savage out of the panel. So, here is a glimpse of what I had hoped to fit on the page along with a couple other images. Enjoy!

A Hero & His Boyfriend

October 21, 2009

As I was looking for another image to post, I came across this illustration of Blue Comet and Justin. I created it  a while back as a promotional piece. It even appeared in Instinct Magazine in the May 2008 issue when our boys were featured in a “couple’s quiz”.

Here we have Blue Comet in a tender moment with his boyfriend, Justin Summers, with their hometown of Golden Bay City in the background. Awww…

Sketch Book Time!

October 12, 2009

Today I decided to delve a bit into my sketch book and share some original character concept art. Below are two sketches of some fantasy characters I whipped up about a year ago.

As often happens with me, I tend to shift from one interest to another at the drop of a hat! lol. At one moment, I’m totally obsessed with Green Lantern, the next, I’m all about Final Fantasy, then I’m going bonkers for Star Wars… There’s no predicting these shifts and it sometimes drives my boyfriend crazy!

Well, last year I experienced one such shift, which happened when I was feeling burnt-out on super heroes. (Hey, it happens!) I got it in my head that I was going to develop a whole new fantasy comic. So together, Russ and I came up with some plot ideas and I sketched out a couple of character concepts. This particular idea involved two gay brothers who were fortune hunters and were always on the prowl for the next hot guy to jump into bed with. They were a complete departure from our clean-cut super heroes, Blue Comet & Fusion!

Unfortunately, we fell behind on BC & F while developing this new idea. Realizing that we couldn’t get too behind, I had to stop and get back to work on our premier comic. Oh well… At least I did get to draw a fantasy world when BC & F journeyed to that alternate dimension. As of now however, this idea is on hold.

But who knows, maybe one day we’ll have enough time and energy to work on these bad-boys again. But for now, please enjoy the sketches!

Blue Comet & Fusion’s Super-Gay Fantasy Wear!

October 9, 2009

Recently, when Russ and I did the pages for Blue Comet and Fusion in which they journeyed to another dimension, I thought it would be fun to have them change their costumes to fit the fantasy setting. I wanted the costumes to be sexy and stylish and was inspired by the creative fashions of Final Fantasy games. Those games have some of the hottest men around! (I’d love to get in the sack with Tidus from Final Fantasy X, he’s such a cutie!!!) Ahem… Anyway, the outfits are some of the most interesting designs I’ve ever seen.

So, below is the initial concept design I came up with for Blue Comet and Fusion’s Super-Gay Fantasy Wear! At first I drew the boys sans shirts as you can see. (Hell, I draw them with their shirts off any chance I get!) But, as I began illustrating the pages, Russ and I realized they looked just a little “too gay”, lol, so I covered up their mid-sections. (Aww…) Adding the shirts meant a change on Fusion’s color scheme. We changed his cape to blue to go along with his red shirt, and made his shoulder armor completely yellow.

It was fun coming up with these different looks for Blue Comet and Fusion. If you’re unfamiliar with what I’ve been referring to, check out the pages from our “Fantasy Adventure” here. Just click the menu at the bottom of the page, scroll down and select “Savage Returns” to start the story. Have fun!
